ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment
The ZEW indicator is a very important Indicator for the Economy in Germany. The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment is ascertained monthly.
The indicator is based on a survey where up to 350 experts in the financial market take part. The ZEW indicator specifically compares the number of analysts that are pessimistic and the share of analysts that are optimistic for the expected economic development in Germany in upcoming six months.
The ZEW survey also include questions to cover the analyst’s view for the Euro-zone, United Kingdom, USA and Japan.
